The Clinton YWCA Women’s Resource Center began in 1978 as a Sexual Assault Resource Center. It soon became apparent that services needed to be expanded and our center, with much community support and volunteers, began offering shelter and support to victims of domestic violence. The program was further expanded in 1988 when it began its Transitional Housing Program for women and their families who are homeless. Currently we are able to offer our Rapid Rehousing and Homelessness Prevention programs to families with children and individuals facing homelessness.
