She Rises – Helping Women and Girls Thrive

She Rises is an Empowerment Center program focused on building resilience and employment skills for women and girls through mentoring and education.

The American Psychological Association defines resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors.

Many women and girls in our community face these stressors every day but are not equipped with the necessary skills to help them overcome these challenges. This can often lead to the continuation of generational poverty, ACSE, and more.

She Rises aims to help women and girls create a strong foundation for success, by learning about the barriers and challenges unique to them, understanding ACES and the effects these experiences can have, and how resilience skills can help them move forward in their life.
